I had to take a series of four pictures at different times of the day of the same thing....I chose the Sun at Tamworth Castle grounds as i always eye her up in the morning whilst walking to work...

F4.5 ? Iso 400 time 20.00I dont think i did very well on this task. I think in future i will note down what settings my camera is on as when i went into the pictures to get the details they had settings that i didnt even know my camera had!!
Check your shutter speed on the final image! A tripod could have been used or a higher ISO...shutter speeds lower than 1/60 allow for camera shake so be aware of this when shooting in lo light conditions! I see that you've reflected on this in your post and think you will benefit from noting down the settings. Your ISO is higher than it needed to be on your second image...you only need to use an ISO above 400 in darker conditions really as the sharpness of the image is compromised :)
